Akshay Kumar-Mouni Roy’s Gold IMAX Trailer Out!

The first trailer and dialogue promos of Gold starring Akshay Kumar have already been garnering much buzz among movie lovers. Now, the makers have come up with a new Gold IMAX trailer, which will surely raise your expectations even more. The new trailer of Gold showcases the struggle that the Indian hockey team went through for achieving the Gold Medal in 1948. Taking to his Twitter handle, Akshay Kumar shared new Gold IMAX trailer with a caption that read, “Experience Gold in IMAX this 15th August” The lead star of the film, Akshay Kumar said, “Sports deserves more importance in the country. It was a great experience working for gold.” When asked whether he would like a biopic to be made on himself the actor replied, “I don’t want to make a biopic on myself. I like when people make a biopic on real people than reel people.” ‘Gold’ is a historical sports drama. 

It is helmed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner. It captures the ‘golden era’ of Indian hockey through the central character of the film Tapan Das, a young assistant manager in 1936, who dreams of playing for an independent nation. Akshay plays Tapan Das in ‘Gold’. Set at the backdrop of India winning its first gold medal in hockey as a free nation in the 1948 Summer Olympics, the film promises to be yet another big one from Akki. ‘Gold’ features Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal in pivotal parts.
